Discover Downtown!
Some ask us, “what’s going on with downtown? Isn’t it just a bunch of old run down buildings?”
We seek to dispel the myth that downtown is a “thing of the past”. On the contrary, after years of methodical progress from the city, private investors, and Beaumont Main Street, we are beginning to see a vibrant downtown emerge.
From beautifully restored buildings, to the world’s largest working fire hydrant, or from a skate park, to movies in a restored vaudevillian theatre, there is something for everyone in downtown Beaumont.
Over $275 million dollars have been invested by private individuals and government in the past thirty years. Though there is still work to be done, we hope you’ll visit downtown, witness the progress, and celebrate downtown with us!
